Like Jesus

Do you notice how we can be friends with someone for weeks, months, sometimes even years and not know their life history? A passed is a very important key to what and who we are today. We live in such a society where it is all about “me” and we rarely make time to sit and listen to the life story of someone else. It’s almost hard to understand and have compassion on that person because we have no idea where they came from. Is that why now days, we see less deep rooted friendships and instead, we see more surface friendships? You can work with someone and spend time with someone for so long, but yet you know nothing about what really goes on in their lives.
Maybe that’s why Jesus loves us so much and has continual compassion on us? Because He knows our ENTIRE story, he “gets” us. He understands who we are and why our future is what it is.
Maybe it’s time for us (including myself) to take some time and focus on others. Focus on where they’ve been and not where they are now. So we too can have compassion and understanding on them. When someone entrusts you with their passed, they will then entrust you with their future. Let’s stop being surface people and start getting deep with people. After all, isn’t that what Jesus did when He was here?

Remember, I would love to pray for any of you, either leave me a comment, or message me at anjelicamg@gmail.com.

Do You Feel Unworthy?

HELLO! :) So sorry. I try to have my blog out by Thursdays, but I’ve been SuPeR busy these past couple of weeks, it’s like a huge whirlwind.
I would like to talk about something that God spoke to me so clearly yesterday. It’s short and sweet but really good, so LISTEN UP!
A lot of times during prayer and worship, I always think about how undeserving I am and yet, God is more than enough for, and to me. Sometimes it moves me so much that it just brings me to tears (in a rejoicing kind of way, not sad). But yesterday was a new revelation, a fresh way of thinking. I clearly heard God say, “If I’m God Almighty and create you perfect in my image, why wouldn’t you deserve the best of the best?”…WOW! That really hit me! It’s time for me to stop thinking about what I’M doing to deserve (in other words, “earn”) His overwhelming love and blessings, but I need to just be grateful and continue to remind myself that it has nothing to do with me, and EVERYTHING to do with Him.
I AM WORTHY…….YOU ARE WORTHY.
If God says in His word, (bible) that He gives us life and He gives it to us abundantly than why would we think of how unworthy we are for God’s goodness to us? I think that is a way that the enemy deceives us in a blinding way. Because I think, “oh God I’m so undeserving, and yet you give and you give. I praise you God,” So I’m convinced I’m simply “praising” Him. But I am completely wrong! I have been deceived! God’s word says I am worthy, He will, and promises to bless me abundantly and it has nothing to do with what I do. It’s all a part of who God is.
Now I must change my praises from, “God I’m so undeserving, thank you for loving me the way that you do.” to, “God, you are so good to me, THANK YOU for being so loving.” It’s not easy, I’ve had to remind myself a couple of times during my prayer time, but it’s a work in progress.
We are worthy.

God is so cool!

Hope each and every one of you are having a very blessed day! Today I wanted to share something that happened to me this week, that I thought was very cool and SO like God. :)
For those of you that don’t know, I have an Etsy shop in which I sell small dog harnesses. If you don’t know what Etsy is, you NEED to find out! Etsy is a very fun website where people can have their very own “shops” and sell a variety of items anywhere from handmade items, to vintage items.
Anywho, I got this “convo” (Etsy’s very modern word for message) from a lady interested in buying two harnesses from me. She decided to make a custom order, so we had to “convo” back and forth quite a few times. In the course of “convoing” I thought to myself, this lady is really nice? Not that it should be surprising, but it was a different friendly. It was an extra step of generosity. I started thinking to myself, “I think this lady may be Christian”. Later on, I message her back and I close the message with the word, “blessings”. She then replies back, I just knew you were Christian!!!” I was so amazed when I received this, because I had been suspecting the same thing about her! Now I KNEW that she was a Christian as well.
I tell this story simply to say this, all that lady did was be a genuinely nice person and God’s light was shining right through her. Even though she is thousands of miles away, I’ve never seen her, or spoke to her in person, but I knew she was a believer. Why? Because once we accept God into our hearts, He comes in and takes over. It has nothing to do with us, but EVERYTHING to do with who He is. God schedules divine appointments for us every day and I truly believe that is exactly what this was. Be kind to one another, be kind to a stranger, and let Him shine right through you!
